USE

Can use an increasing range of adverbs ('therefore', 'furthermore', 'otherwise') to show a relationship between two clauses or sentences.

EXAMPLE

We don’t like to go out to eat. Therefore we cook at home.

I like playing golf because it is relaxing. Furthermore it is good exercise.

If I can find it, I’ll use it. Otherwise I will buy a new one.
